I’m a Ph.D. student in philosophy at the University of Aberdeen. My research is in the area of metaphysics, with an emphasis on material objects, identity over time, composition, persistence, and spacetime.
I’m also a paper asset investor, and I previously was a litigation attorney, owned a law firm, and managed a team of lawyers engaged in state and federal litigation. I've happily returned to my philosophical studies after almost 20 years.
I earned my B.A. in philosophy (summa cum laude, with honors, phi beta kappa) and my J.D. from Syracuse University. I reside in Connecticut with my wife and two children. Outside of philosophy and investing, I’m an avid outdoorsman and enjoy fly fishing, fly tying, birding, hiking and astronomy.
